Life is full of good intentions. When I redesigned my website last year I added a blog. But I’m not a blogger. And what happens when a non-blogger starts a blog? It quickly fades into the background and dies.
Now, that I’ve just returned from running the last photo tour of the season, I long to do something about all that’s been procrastinated, such as making my work visible on a regular basis. And the blog now again seems like such a good idea. But if it will survive this time around remains to be seen.
This year has been very busy for me and has been one of many changes, both in my personal life as well as in the direction of my photography. When one works again and again in the same locations, such as I do when leading photo tours, there has to be an effort to look beyond the obvious to nourish the hunger for creative expression. So for me this season has been one where I’ve predominantly practiced the downward gaze and where the 50 Makro-Planar and 90 TS-E lenses have gotten more use than ever before. It has been a joyful journey and I’ve just started going through and processing images from the summer and autumn. Look out for them here in the next weeks and on my Facebook page.
